How to organize excursions with children.

When traveling or doing trips with children we have to be very clear that the children do not have the same interests or the same stamina as the older ones, besides we must have a lot of patience because they appreciate details in which we no longer repair, so Traveling with children is a good way to recover certain forgotten pleasures of childhood.

I am in favor of starting the excursions in the morning, as soon as possible, because as the day goes by, the children will tire more and the more rested they are, the more they will enjoy and be more receptive.

We usually make excursions in which Panchita can participate, our dog and is very restless, we try to choose natural surroundings where there is no traffic and can be loose. Both children and adults, like Panchita, enjoy outdoor activities.

We try to choose destinations that do not require long journeys, because they do not like girls, they tire them a lot. We also do not have screens for children to entertain, but even if it seems enough "oño", we chat and sing. Also as we live in a very nice area, near rivers, mountains and sea, we have many options when scheduling excursions.

Today we visit the castro of Santa Tegra, in A Garda, the forts are pre-Roman fortified settlements located in an elevations of the terrain, the castros are proper of the pre-Roman Celtic or Indo-European towns of the Iberian Peninsula. The location of this castro is spectacular, located At the top of a mountain we can see the mouth of the river Miño, the village of A Garda and the immensity of the Atlantic Ocean, a spectacle for the senses.

Castros are a good option to visit with children because they like to walk, climb, run, jump through the streets, visit the houses and enjoy the magic that the ruins convey to us.

Children love to learn, they love to explain.

We are in favor of preparing food at home and eating from the countryside to eat in restaurants, because in them, children find it hard to be quiet, they do not enjoy it, neither do we and bother customers. Today we take battered fillets, ham, yogurts, fruit, chocolate smoothies, water and buy bread for snacks along the way. It is a simple meal but they like it and need little elaboration. When we travel with dogs we bring food and water to Panchita.

When choosing clothes and footwear we must always opt for comfortable clothing and shoes, preferably natural fabrics that let the skin perspire and always bear in mind that children are in constant movement and do not need to take shelter as much as we do.

One thing that kids love is river trips, something as simple as throwing stones at the river is a fun activity for them, so we should not forget those little details, with which we enjoyed both small and may have forgotten.

Strolling one day through a village on the river bank, we found pony rides on the bank for only 3 euros and as the girls love horses, we did not hesitate to ride them and it was a great experience, they are those surprises that They give us trips and fill them with unforgettable moments, because in the end the most rewarding when it comes to making excursions with children is their smile.

In this video I try to explain how I organize myself when it comes to hiking with children, surely I will do many things wrong, but this being a mother is very difficult, I would love to comment on how you organize yourselves or what I could do better. ..good ... I know that you should not walk around a Celtic walls because they deteriorate ... but the temptation is so great ...
